How do I search for a FLO course with my account role?

Account roles give select users access to a wide range of courses without the need to add them to the teaching teams for each availability.

Certain staff may have an account role, that allows them access to a wide range of courses they are not enrolled in. These staff include The admin button is between the account and dashboard buttons

Staff who provide support to students (e.g. Library, Student Learning Support Services)
Staff who provide support to academics (e.g. eLearning, SAS teams)
Academic leadership (e.g. Course coordinator, Teaching Program Directors, Deans)

Staff with an account role will gain access to an admin screen where they can search for courses. To access the admin screen, click on the Admin button in your navigation menu (see the image to the right). You will then see the sub-account(s) that you have access to, which will vary from role to role. Clicking on a sub-account will display a list of courses in that sub-account.

When viewing a list of courses, use the Search courses [1] field to search for a particular course or use the navigation [2] at the bottom of the page to move through the list of courses.

Filtering out unused courses

When cross-listed courses (called shared sites in Moodle) are created, the availabilities being cross-listed are disabled and a new course is created. When you have sub-account access you can see these unused courses, so you may want to filter them out.

There are multiple ways to filter out these courses:

Tick the Hide courses without students box [1]
Only open courses that have been published to students [2]
Only open courses containing teachers [3]
Only open courses containing students [4]
The name and SIS ID of Cross-listed sites have different naming structures [5]
