How to allow everyone in your teaching team to use breakout rooms

By default, only the creator/organiser of a Teams meeting can create and administer breakout rooms.

Here is a way to allow other members of the teaching team to administer the rooms.

Create the meeting as normal (preferred method is via Microsoft Teams classes)
Add required attendees – this should be members of your teaching team
If you have already created the meeting, to change the meeting settings, select the ellipsis to edit. Select Edit meeting details to access the settings, then click the Meeting Options link. In Meeting options, select your teaching team members in the Choose co-organizers drop down list.
When the meeting is open
- all members of the teaching team will have the ability to join breakup rooms
- only one member at a time can create, delete or administer breakout rooms
